Bethlehem Housing Celebrates Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant to Strengthen Affordable Housing in Niagara

September 17, 2025 – St. Catharines, ON

Bethlehem Housing and Support Services (BHSS) is proud to announce the launch of its Organization Transformation Project, made possible through a $150,200 Resilient Communities Fund grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). This important initiative will strengthen BHSS’s capacity to deliver affordable housing solutions and supportive services for vulnerable residents across the Niagara region.

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, community members and partners will come together at BHSS’s head office to officially celebrate this milestone. St. Catharines MPP Jennie Stevens will be in attendance to formally recognize the grant on behalf of OTF, alongside BHSS leadership, staff, board members, and community partners. Representatives from the Niagara Community Observatory at Brock University, the Goodman School of Business, and Armstrong Strategy Group will also participate in the event.

The Organization Transformation Project will enable BHSS to adapt its service model, build long-term sustainability, and strengthen its ability to respond to the growing demand for affordable housing in Niagara. With over 8,000 households on the Niagara community housing waitlist, this grant will play a vital role in ensuring more families and individuals have access to safe, stable housing and the supports they need to thrive.

“This grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation is a pivotal step in helping us re-imagine how we deliver services and strengthen our organization to meet the urgent housing needs of our community,”
said Lori Beech, Executive Director of BHSS.

The event will take place at:
